Farewell

With great sadness, our family bid farewell to a beloved pet. Percival J. Worthington III died peacefully in her sleep last night. She lived a long, full hedgie life.

Percival joined our household five-and-a-half years ago. She was a unique, unassuming pet. (Miss Percival received her name before we fully understood the intricacies of hedgehog anatomy.) She enjoyed eating peanut butter, swimming in the bathtub, and running around in circles.

We will miss Percival's playful chirps and squeaks. At times, her personality could be rather prickly. She was shy. Her face was adorable, however, and her furry belly was soft and smooth.

Goodbye, sweet hedgehog. We will miss you.
